Curious to see what you guys have put down with bolt-ons alone. With an M6, Loudmouth and descreened maf i threw down 285whp and 312wtq. Im looking to hit 320-330's with Kooks, true duals, LT1 edit and some other little bolt-ons. Any one seen near numbers? Will have numbers posted soon.

323 rwhp / 343 rwtq before the PCM tune and cut-out. I'm sure the car will see 330 plus & 350 plus with the two additional mods. Pure bolt-ons

You know, its great to see lots of LT1s making 300-330 RWHP with full boltons. Considering most full bolton LS1s put down between 340-360 RWHP, I'd say that the LT1 is not the bastard motor some ignorant folks make them out to be

awesome numbers guys.
indeed metalbeast, these motors put out power close to the LS1s with all the bolt-ons. It seems to me that these motors are just way more restricted from the factory than the LS1s were, so these respond a little better to mods. Stock vs. stock we're on average down about 40rwhp, but full bolt-ons and it's within 20 rwhp it seems on average.

I dynoed 270rwhp on my stock motor!!!!! Dunno why though, but I did. My stock motor is crazy. 13.8 on street tires at the track, 270rwhp, and 29mpg last road trip... all with a 130K mile stock motor!!!! gotta love it!

Well, now I would not go as far as to say that an LT1 responds better to mods than an LS1. They don't. An ls1 will respond better. 15* valve angle heads versus 23* valve angle heads. Its all about head flow and the LS1s have the advantage. But bar none, the LT1s are the best engines ever developed on the SBC platform. My point is that they are not the dogs many people claim them to be.

Yes he did And FWIW, they are no more restrictive from the factory than an LS1.

I think my 96 WS6 6spd car put down 278 rwhp stock with just a K&N. I forget what the torque was on that dyno run ? I think I had a real good motor to start out with when I bought my car. The lady I bought it from kept meticulous books and records on the car and changed the oil like every 2000 miles.

I meant they seem to respond better due to the fact that they have worse parts already on them, compared to the stock parts on ls1s. Just my opinion, but im stickin' to it.
These motors are indeed good motors if taken care of, I ran the time in my sig with the only power mod a catback.
