Default LT1 questions

I have a 95' LT1....I am seeking a little advice on a combonation?

I have been reading the posts here for a few days...I am actually putting this in a 64 chevelle! I have been around a bunch of big blocks and few built SBC! But I have never done much with LT1's so I thought I would ask the guys that know! I am not looking for a crazy amount of power just want it to sound nice and run good! The car will also have T56 and 9in rear probably 4.10 gears

This is what I was thinking....

58mm throttle body(probably Holley)
Comp cam 07-467-8
http://www.powerandperformancenews.c...Category_Code=

30pd injectors
minor porting(intake and heads)
1.6 Roller rockers
mid lenght backswep headers
3in exhaust(spintech mufflers)
a pcmforless tune or possibly speedinc.com tune not sure yet?

If I am missing something or there is something that would do better???? I open to suggestions?

Thanks in advance?

You might want to get longtubes instead, unless your worried about emissions.

I have to go with midlenghts......ground clearance!

The car is on air ride and the crossmember sits on the ground! I know longtubes would be better but I just can't run them!

I don't think you understand......airbags
crossmember on the ground...longtubes smashed or dragging on the ground....long tubes for an a-body hang down 2-3 inches lower than the crossmember

cannot do long tubes if I need to downsize in throttle body I can but I can not do long tubes!

I would save the money on the throttle body and put the saved coin and a little bit more into the heads. The throttle body is only needed if your gonna be pushin 500+ horse. Definitely post some pics of the car in progress, sounds cool!!!

I have been told by Tom at LS1 speed to do the beehive conversion and the comp 306 cam......I guess I will look around locally for someone to do some port work and maybe upsize valves! Intake I guess will be stock....however I have thought about making one out of Aluminum......but it seems like there are alot of vacuum lines and ports that go into the intake I will look around and see what I can find on fabbing the intake thanks for all the help thus far guys!

Im running edelbrock Lt1 style heads. Theyre relatively cheap, good for the money. Mine have quite a bit of work done to them on top of what edelbrock did, so I cant really tell ya how much they help. I think they run roughly 550 each. Im pushin 525 horse or so, all motor on those heads.

I have looked at his site a couple times how do his heads compare to say Trick flows or AFR's ????????

http://www.trickflow.com/product/che...t1_airflow.asp

here is the flow numbers on the Trick Flow Heads that doesn't seem real good? Or is it for an LT1? I can get these for a little or 1k
