Default How many miles on your lt1 before H/C

I have 120k on mine, and thinking of either H/c or just a cam this winter. Just wanted to hear some input on it?Also best place for buying a 355 or 383 short block? The motor in my car is healthly as it can be it goes 12.40's Stock internal @108? Any input in a cam only setup would help too

one question how does your car run 12.4's @ 108 when mine runs 13 flat at the same mph with a 2.0 60ft does knockin off .4 on the 60ft add .6 in the 1/4? and without a cam

BTW i went with heads and cam package @92k on my 95

If you had a 2.0 60ft and you got it to 1.7 you would run 12.55,for every tenth on the starting line you pick up another .05 going down the track.

2.0-1.7= .30 +.15 =.45 off your ET

On average, ever tenth taken off the 60' gaines you 1.5-2 tenths on the big end. Transamtom beat me to it.

I had ~120k on mine when I did my cam swap. You should be fine. I gotta know youre race weight though.

Get some sticky tires, loosen or remove the front sway bar and use some softer shocks and a 13.0 with a 2.0 60ft will turn into a mid 12.

What are your mods if you dont mind me asking? Those are some nice times.

Something else if you arent sure about your motor, just run a compression test and if it checks out alright, then Id feel safe about modding it.
