got mine from thunder --------->

as for difficulty, its not hard to install. you do have to press a small brass cap in your stock housing which is alot easier with a press. other than that its just wireing it.

I installed the CSI (CSR now) pump in my 94 LT1. Very easy to do. With the CSR's you have to grind little tabs out of the housing where the new e-pump will go. And like 00Z-28-LT1 said about brass plug. I did mine with just a hammer.

you can leave the cam gear drive that ran the old pump alone. If not you'll have to remove timing cover, and pull the cam gear to get it out. Not hard, just a few more minutes of work.

These stick out further infront of the waterpump, correct? Can anyone tell me how far? I'm wondering if they would even fit in my S10.

you will have to cut the fan shroud for the pump to fit. Or you can do what i did, just leave that fan off.

Note, he'll only have to cut the fan shroud if he installs a Meziere. The CSR only sticks out a couple inches. When I had mine, it came close to the fan shroud, but didnt touch it.

Agreed! My CRI actually barely touches the fans but not enough to hurt anything.

SDPC has them for 135.95(pt# CSI901LT1), they come with instructions, you will have to open up your water pump so the tabs off the wp fins will clear. A drimmel works well, with a metal bit. You dont have to modify the fans what so ever with a CSR pump.

This should cover you for the install. Summit Racing had the CSI pump also part # CSI-901LT1, $169.95 plus 8.95 handling fee. Scoggin Dickey is $150 now plus $12.75 shipping.

Its a very easy install.

I would HIGHLY reccomend that you take the old water pump drive out, I beleive i lost my engine to that (had to get a rebuild). After i got done installing mine i took the car out for a test drive (after the 15min of idle) then apparently my timing chain broke (with only 85k on the clock) I deeply beleive its the wp drive gear that somehow got loose and snagged my chain......

Just be safe and take it out while your there

how streetable are these....... i drive alot ,and have looked into this install because of all the opti leaking stories. I have heard that they will not leak on the opti, however i am on the highway alot and am not scared to put miles on my car. I have had a few people tell me to steer clear of the ewp because i drive so much...... anyone have some insight

Many people wire a light to the water pump so that if it quits, the light will come on. That or pay VERY close attention to the water temp. Many people use them on the street, you just have to watch it (like you should anyways).

When Im driving my car, I keep an eye on all of my gauges. Its a habit of mine. Every minute or so, Ill just look down and scan all the gauges just to check. Good call on the light though, I had forgotten about that.
