Default Dyno Guess

I don't have my car yet and I know a lot of you know my mods. I'm just curious what you guys think I "should" dyno. Feel free to let me know what quarter mile time would seem logical as well.

Modifications are as follows to a 94 A4 Z28: Moroso CAI, Underdrive pulleys, 160' thermostat, LT pacesetter coated headers, matching 3inch Y-pipe into a flowmaster, Descreened MAF and an LT4 KM. (Stock 3:23 gear)

Thanks

With a tune I would guess a 13.4-6. Get some nice tires on that car. I ran a 13.4 on street tires.

What was your MPH and have you put your car on the dyno?

My MPH was 103.57 without traction. Never put it on the dyno. This was with a full tank of gas to the max as well.

i'd say around a 13.5 too. my car ran 13.3 with nitto dr's, some suspension stuff, and the 3.23s. didnt dyno it then though. probably around 280-290 at the wheels if i had to throw one out there.

If I gut my interior, take off the front sway bar, run on a half a tank of gas, and have some Nitto's, I'd probably run between a 13.15-13.29. There is a kid by me that has 3.73's, 3200 stall, drag radials, shorty headers, all that stuff and is still in the 13.06. If I had a stall and gears I would be mid 12's.

When you ran a 13.4, that was with LT headers right? What did you run without the headers?

I would say that was a good rwhp guess, but I thought the LT1's put out a lot of torque? I was thinking about 300lbs of torque. I think they come stock with 325 to the crank. With my mods, I would think I should have about 300.

I ran a 14.0 consistantly w/o headers. You should have about 315 ft. lbs torque at the rear wheels with the bolt ons.

I'd say around 275hp or so, but i think you'll make well over 300 on the TQ side...id say around 315-320 at the wheels. All depends on how the motor is running.....lot of tired LT1 cars around these days that need tuneups and basic maintenance work, and arent running up to their true potential. IF the car is running well, id say you should be good for about mid 13s

After I get my car back and have the money, I'm thinking about getting a tune. I hope that can get me about 10hp or so. I want at least 285Rwhp. I would be happy with that. Any ideas how I could achieve that with other mods?

Do a throttle body bypass. Get some nice tires, and 1.6 roller rockers. Get a cutout FOR SURE and open it up for about 5-10RWHP depending on placement. Getting a tune should net you between 10-15 RWHP.
