Could be your plug wires arching or an exhaust leak.

I also have looms going over the vavle cover so i tightend them up and it made the noise alot more, so i loosend em up and its not so bad. Could it just be the plastic or the bolts through the covers expanding?

Behind the tranny, there is a mount/crossbrace for the exhaust. I can't remember how it's set up stock because I have a kind of integrated, fabbed exhaust. Anyway, I had it bolted up for a while without the rubber shims and it would cool down and pop. I replaced the rubber shims and it didn't happen anymore. Perhaps this will give you some guidance to your problem. All in all, I don't think I would worry about it.

after you get them hot they will kind of ping when you shut it off, it happens because of the heat expansion. I will listen to it to make sure that is what you are hearing.

When metal expands and contracts it pops and pings, this is what you are hearing.

If it was arching, it would sound like a fast ticking sound and would happen even if you turned off the car when it's still very cold.. But it's mostlikely it's the metal expanding and contracting. It does it on my car too and it kind of reminds me of when I unplug my george foreman grill.
