Borla catback

Borla catback will a borla catback from a 96 t/a fit my 94 formula......... i know there may be some fabricating to be done because of the 2 cat vs.1 cat issue........ can someone shed some light upon this issue

well, it's not a direct bolt on, so you're wrong in that aspect. but i could make 4 fart cans fit if i really wanted to so i dunno what good that does.
the 96-97 dual cat style's y-pipe goes further back on the car, so the intermediate pipe won't come all the way up to the back of your cat or off road pipe, whatever u have there. you'll just need to take it to an exhaust shop and have somebody modify the intermediate pipe to come all the way up to the cat. i'd suggest using the flange from the borla instead of letting them weld it up if they wanted to do that.
summary, if you try to mount it up as is there will be a gap between your single cat and the start of the 96-97 borla.

if you wanna get rid of the cats then just get an ory for a 96. i too had a 95 single cat system then got kooks with their ory which i think is based on a 96+ and everything is able to be connected. only problem i had/have is the main exhaust mount, the one by the tranny doesnt hook up...at least mine didnt. i dont know if something as simple as buying a bracket for a dual cat system will bolt on but nothing a muffler shop shouldnt be able to fix. it was real easy to bolt on the borla system too. I'm having this exact problem but the opposite, i have a <95 catback, that won't line up with my 96/97 hooker y-pipe. We should swap intermediate pipes and that would solve both our problems.
