New Cam only Lt1 times!!!
Last night I went to NPR in Louisiana to try my new combo. For the last 8 yrs i've run the Crane 210/224 cam with stockheads. Recently I changed over to a Joe O custom ground cam. The air was -700ft last night but the track was cold. Several cars before me aborted runs and one car hit the guardrail. Though my car moved around a bit i managed a 11.30 118.19. My car has not been tuned except for idle yet. i'm hoping that with tuning and a little weight reduction to run some low 20's or teens early next year. Frank95z

Congratulations! Was your 60' 1.48? If so kudos and more kudos to you FWIW, your trapping at about what a few LS1 guys running Magic Sticks are trapping with similar DAs here in Georgia.

Metalbeast I did the 1.48 with my old cam in good air(-1800). The other night the track was a bit slick and my car hasn't been tuned yet. The best 60ft I had was 1.510. Frank95z

Ed how are you doing. i'm the guy that hung out with you and Ken when you were at the Thunder shootout. I gave you directions to Morgan City. I ran my best with my old setup at NPR 2 yrs ago the DA was -1800. That was 38degrees/54%/30.40 at a sealevel track. That kind of weather would get your cars attention. Frank95z

fogged i run a vig3200 with 3.73 gears in the rear. The cam is a custom grind that Joe Overton designed for my application. There has been a lot of interest (e-mails,private messages) to my house concerning this cam. Call Joe at Lethal efi performance and he can tell you if this cam is right for you. Tell him I sent you. Hey Frank! I remember your help. Drove right to it, great directions. Thanks! We are doing great. Ken has his interior out, sending it to a chassis shop to get the cage updated. I'll tell Ken you said Hi.
30.40 baro, man! That's something my old tank has never seen. I went to the track today, last time it will open this year. Think I have my wheelstands under control now. Been a real problem since it cooled off. Got 2 of my 5 or 6 best 60' times, didn't feel like the wheels could have been more than a foot of the ground. Not as spectacular, but it's easier on an old man when he can see where he is going.
Ken was out to help me, just didn't have his car. My valve springs are dead, so was not as fast as it has been. Bad valve float just before the shifts. Had to lower the shift points. Probably should have parked it. Instead I just short shifted it. I felt like I needed to use this last chance get the new front end pieces (to keep it down) sorted out. DA was just under 1000'. Good for us. About 50 deg when I left, humidity in the mid 50s, and Baro in the 28.70s. About as good as it gets around here. Never went quicker than 10.25 today.
Take care, Ed

No I still run the 4l60e with the lockup Vig3200. In another post I mentioned that i bought a used Turboaction turbo350 but I'm not installing it till I have trouble with my current setup. I have a total of 3 transmissions the 4l60 in my car,a spare, and a turbo350. Hope this clears it up. Frank95z
