1.6rr would be a good thing to go with with this cam. It'll give about .550 lift with the 1.6's. Wont sound as agood as the hot cam is slightly smaller but it should put down a little better numbers.

I didn't think they made 1.7's for LT1's (could be wrong though). From what I've read so far on the subject the cc305 is pretty much the same as the LT4 hot cam. So I would have to recomend the Hot cam kit for you(from what I understand it's the cheaper route). It comes with pretty much everything you need. RR's, springs, caps, keys, and shims.

I was just saying they were similar. Hot cam 218/228, 525/525. CC305 220/230, 510/510

for your specs there you're using 1.6 RRs for the hotcam and 1.5 RRs for the cc305.

it's a decent cam, and can be hidden completely with a good tune. 1.7s on stock heads really aren't worth it. you'll get slightly better duration at good flow lifts but you're lifting a long way for nothing. i'd stick to some 1.6s (which will get u .544 lift instead of .510).

just because they are similar doens't mean that the same stuff that works for the hotcam will work for it. the LT4 springs are barely adequate for the hotcam itself. they are only rated to .525 lift.

not neccesarly the 305 only makes more power at very high rpms .ya it gives a lil more power but hotcam is much more cost effective . and please no one chime in and start BASHING the hotcam
