do they just stop working like that? seems strange that it worked fine the last time it was used.... mind you that there are no panels on the door. i just take the plugs and plug them i tought it might be something about the plugs

i read somewhere that the switch on the door sometimes gets dirty or corroded and doesnt make good contact which will make the motor not work. never heard of a motor just completely dying like that but you never know. mine gave the usual warning signs before it crapped out. ie slow up and down, then it would stop, let it cool down, then try again

Well I did it the hard way ( no drilling) but it is a P.I.T.A I think I used a 11/32 open and closed end wrench, and a angled screwdriver. I didn't use the new mount, i used the old one since it was rivited on the door, and just swapped the motors. Took me about 2 hours. If you do it this way all you need to do is remove all the interior door trim and the speakers, and of course the plastic sheet that keeps the rain out. Well worth the money saved vs the 200-300 the dealer charges.
