Midnight street run...tested the crank trigger ign.
WOW well I posted allready I put an MSD big block chevy crank trigger kit, and a MSD 7AL3 and MSD race coil on my car and I felt as if that finally fixed my misfire situation.....after months of chasing my tail with the stock ign. I basically I just tossed the factory system.
Well Im impatient as hell, and didnt want to go to the track on friday and be dissapointed, so I took it for a quick pull down the street,... It pulls like its never pulled before, my 02 TA runs 11.9-12.1 down here in the winter, and it made that feel like a turd.. not that running with Hoosier Slicks, and skinnies on wet asphalt is very fun, or safe.. lol
So If anyone feels like comming out to HRP friday to BS ill be there for sure, and if I decide to install the 4,500 stall converter beforehand, I may just be holding a 10 second N/A timeslip

well its sort of race only because it locks out the timing, but $300 for the crank trigger, and $400 for the MSD 7 box, then $100 for the coil but my car has ALWAYS had an upper rpm miss, even when stock, and it just got rediculous when I swapped from the hotcam... couldnt even run it past 3,500 rpms without it bucking and spitting and popping horribly

Where did you mount the trigger and how hard was it to install it? I was thinking of going with a Delteq or LTCC but I would like to have a crank trigger also. I am about to get my first N/A 10sec. slip in the next week or two when I can get back to the track. LMK Later Clint

I mounted it on the accessory bracket holes in the passenger side of the motor, but it was a big block chevy kit so it didnt bolt on by any means, I had to make two brackets out of an aluminum plate, and the old Alternator to intake manifold brace that I bent the hell out of and cut in half and extended
