LT's

the way an exhaust sounds is going to have everything to do with materials used, lengths, bends, etc so it can vary a good bit.
if you like loudmouth behind LTs then sure. it's gonna be very loud. personally i'm not a fan of loudmouth at all, but whatever works for you. it has nothing to do with the volume either as i run MAC mids to open borla with no cat. it doesn't bother me that it's really loud, but if it sounded like **** it would be sold in a hearbeat.
headers are about performance, not sound. the pacesetters are cheaper because they're not as great a design. you won't be able to squeeze out those few extra ponies that you can pull off with a better design and a better design = more money.
for you, they sound perfect. you'll pick up some power and the pacesetters give much better clearance than every other LT i've seen.
i'm sure they'll be plenty loud. again, it's all dependant on the material that the headers are made out of and how they are shaped.
IMHO: if you street drive your car, you need a muffler if your gonna run ANY headers without cats.

Lets say some some Hooker LT's, y-pipe... and strait 3 inch out the back.. no muffler (or a muffler, but then have a cutout). then maybe a moroso intake? How would that compare to a stock LT1? Times? Maybe compared to a stock LS1 (cuz everyone wants to beat at least a stock ls1..)?
