Look at the nitro dave plate system, and make sure and check your fuel pressure when you spray to make sure your stock pump can keep up. And go read the stickies in the nitrous section.

How big of a bottle * going to mount it between the two rear seats, on the hump. When they say a 150 shot, does that mean a added 150hp? Arent all kits adjustable? So if I get a 150 shot, I could knock it down to a 75 shot? I was looking at some NOS systems, Tehey have a kit thats intresting.

Part Number: NOS-05176-10
Nitrous System for 1993-1997 LT1 Camaro/Firebird & Impala SS
Price: $ 729.99

* These systems inject nitrous directly into the air intake and use the factory EFI system to provide the extra fuel necessary.
* All the required electronics are included to enable the OEM computer to compensate for the extra fuel requirement on demand.
* LT1 systems are adjustable up to an additional 150 horsepower.
* The kit comes complete with a 10 lb. nitrous bottle, blow down tube, throttle activated micro switch, solenoids, nozzles, filters, fittings, switches, aircraft quality steel braided hose, and all other necessary hardware for a complete installation.

Seems like the whole kit and cabotal. I also would like to get this

http://www.harrisspeedworks.com/shop...cat=320&page=1

And another thing. Do you think that this should be a modifaction that I try myself? I have mechanical abliltys and all, I know how to do stuff with my hands, but I have never worked on a car other than brakes and oil changes and such...

Thanks

Depends all on how the motor was treated. I knew a guy with 200k on an LT1 spraying a 150 shot and running 12s

The first two are good ideas, an air/fuel gauge on the other hand is one of the most useless mods you can do.

I thought that it was pretty common for motors to go lean during spray?

PS i would have posed this in the N2O forum, but IDK, its a lt1, so i figured this was best.

yea you run the risk of going lean with n20, but if your fuel system is up to par; pump, injectors etc. it shouldnt be a problem. as for the ratio gauge it is kinda useless, i mean it looks cool and im sure it helps with knowing how your car is going but if you are gonna go really serious then you should get the wide band a/f gauge and a laptop tuner. to make sure your injector load isnt too high. but from what I've heard you should be able to run a 100 shot no problem. and I've heard to go with wet so you wont have to worry about your fuel system keeping up since you are providing the extra fuel. supposedly our lt1's love the gas

I think im going with a dry NOS kit.

I just got off the horn with a local speed shop. This guy is DEFFINATLY going to get my business from now on, great guy, answerd all my questions, and was friendly. Even though he Installs stuff, he said "Do you have any mechanical ablility?" "yes" "Well then a dry kit shouldn't be a problem for you to install yourself" Right there told me this guy isnt trying to sell me anything, witch is great. He said with a dry kit you dotn have to worry about going with huge injectors or anything like that, since it basicly jsut fogs before the MAF and the computer will ajust acordingly. I will still prolly get some autometer gauges for the piller, for coolies bonus lol. So, sound like a sound idea?

That's not what I mean. Yes, monitoring your A/F ratio is a good idea with N20, but an air/fuel gauge installed in the car is not going to do that with any reliable accuracy because it just guesses based on the narrowband O2s which are woefully inadequate for determining A/F.

yea the coolness factor does help, i love it when people ask me what the cool gauge is, i know it isnt going to make my car faster or stuff but i like it, and i got it used for cheap. yea if you fog it before the maf, your fuel should adjust accordingly, but it does help to have a better fuel system just incase it starts to lean out or something, that is really only with a huge dry shot though. anyway good luck with your kit. i have heard NX is one of the best kits for the lt1/ls1

This is true to an extent but much after about a 75-100 hp dry shot the fuel system must be upgraded since while the computer will compensate for the N20 with its MAF readings the injector and fuel pump wont be able to supply it and some tuning would probably be a good idea along with safety equipment such as WOT switch, window switch, and fuel pressure safety switch.

I want a FPSS for sure, But I dont think I want a window switch, doesnt that make it so that your N20 shoots when your in a certine rpm window, all the time? And with a WOT switch, will it spray every time im at WOT?
