Default Sugg. springs on a LT1

I have a stock LT1 with 1.6 roller rockers. I was curious is anyone had suggestions on what I should install for the springs. Should I go with just a stock lt4 spring or does anyone have any suggestions on what I should go with? Thanks in advance

Paul

If you're planning to stick with the stock cam for a while the LT4 springs are cheap and will work fine.

If you're planning on going with a new cam with any kind of lift at all I'd skip the LT4s.

I've had good luck with Combination Motorsports springs. I'm running their 618 dual springs right now.

Lt4 springs are known for bad retainers, at the most 1.6 rr with hotcam would max it out.

stock cam for now, but intend on doing a 383/396 combo in the future, most likely next year. Just don't want to take a chance of getting valve float, that is if I'm not already. would rather stay away from lt4 's if they are known for a problem. Any part #'s to suggest?

stock cam, LT4s. (btw-I am running the LT4s in mine....)
Even if you were to change the cam later, you would normally replace the springs anyway b/c you do not want one of those failing right after the new cam swap. and if you plan on a stroker motor then you willl more than likely get the heads worked so new springs should be in that package.
