Well i can't say what i payed for the heads ported as the final # hasn't gotten to me yet.... but bare casting's ran me 1500 and change.. had them angle milled and the intake angle corrected at all pro so that tacked on another 300 so they were 1800 to my door.. the conversion is about 300 smacker's or so it really depends on the quality of your casting from what my guy has told me.. But 400 max i'm guessing wouldn't be bad... it's going to be a 396 solid roller 13:1 or so maybe a few tenth's of a point more.. not sure yet till everything's done.. we have a goal in mind and we're pretty confident it's attainable.. Single plane intake big 4barrel tb etc.. Like i said above the heads are just barely opened up.. they still need quite a bit of work to get them where they need to be.. But i'll be sure to keep this updated as i get the update's.. I think this is good info for those looking to take it to the next level.. Even me as i'm going from a measly 309rwhp bolt on lt1 to whatever this thing make's..

As far as 2nd Street. I've heard nothing but great thing's about them.. But the guy doing the heads is designing my entire top end package right down to the size headgasket i'll be running...

Do you plan on getting your AFR's opened up a bit more? i know they can flow in excess of 320 if done right.. AFR"s comp port always leaves something on the table..

Just over 400 cubes.....
4" stroke X 4.035" bore
Compstar crank, Compstar rods, J.E. custom pistons
Block fully prepped on an RMC 4 axis CNC machine
..... just another typical stroked LT1

IIIusionalTA,

Why did you not just buy the heads directly from Rons. He's CNC port work looks to be the ****. I've never seen a 23% head flow those #''s. I have a dart lil M 434 with a set of Canfields that flow in the 330 range but I'm kinda intrested in those All Pros now. Any idea what Ron gets for them CNC'ed?
I was just thinking of selling all my conventional SBC stuff and giong all LSx but now maybe a change of heart!!

Well ron had a set of them actually.. But i had a plan already setup w/ my head guy.. Trust me.. The work my guy does is really good.. Not some backyard porter.. Ron get's 1800 for his cnc job.. which ain't bad considering.. Lsx's Fear the Lt1's.. they're catching up...

So Ron's heads were $1800 for his CNC port work correct? Then the base price for the heads. Did he have a complete set available.

Just asking. I'll give them a shout and find out what they offer later.

Yeah secondstreet is the ****... his cam grinds have been in some of the fastest LT1's out there... Baxters vert, Rob Cowlings Turbo 93.... hopefully if my and my engine builders estimate on power are correct we will make more than enough power to run 8's with the tune set to "kill"... then we'll detune it and run low 9's.....

As far as opening up my AFR's anymore we're going to trust AFR's port work and keep them as they are... either way this motor is being setup as a serious nitrous motor and we're not super dependent on every last cfm like a ***** out NA motor or an FI motor would be..... making your own oxygen is certainly a good thing when it comes to head flow.... we flowed mine and they flowed 315 at .700.... that's higher than their advertised #'s of 308 on their website.... and enough flow to make massive power...

What is your motor being setup for and what do you want to run. if you're coming from a 309RWHP setup you're gonna be FRIKKIN AMAZED the first time you run this thing... this is my third setup... first was stock with bolt ons. made 425RWHP on spray and ran 11.40@122... second was a budget 355 with stock crank, 6" rods, and stage II LT1 castings and a medium size hydraulic roller, made 525RWHP and 597 RWTQ and ran 10.40@131 mph on a 150 shot.....

If history repeats I'll easily be able to run 9.40's with this one... but we're stepping up way beyond the old setups with the size of the shot.... both my 11.40 and 10.40 were on 150 shot.... we're gonna spray a 400 this time....

WEll time to bring this back to the top.. Money ran a lil short mid year.. but now we're back on track... Still work being done to the heads.. They're now moving 365cfm w/ a 2.15 int. valve..and still have a lil more to go.Maybe 2-3cfm not much..But hey i'll take what i can get w/ this slow ***'d ltx.. . he's really working the SSR.. So here's some shot's for you guy's as well as a bad *** intake that "Won't" be going on my car.... I'm pretty stoked..This **** will get done one day...
Here's the link's as they're pretty high res, and i'd hate to disorient everyone's screen...

What size bore you going with? Seem like a big valve for .030 over.

Nice stuff though
