I tried initially to buy the Holley. But the price went up by $100 the day I tried to buy it! So I bought the BBK instead. I think the BBK was $319, the Holley had gone up to $435 or so (this was about 6 years ago).
The BBK is a sand cast ugly thing. It's hideous. Get a Holley, get an AS&M, but don't get a BBK. I had to break out the sanding rolls just to smooth down the air foil area. It wasn't fully cast - had huge divots in there! The BBK sucks. Period.

I just bought the BBK over the Holley because of the price and the fact that you can't use the stock top cover plate with the Holley. I could give a **** less what the inside of the TB looks like since it is always covered when the engine is assembled.

I just got my Holley 58mm TB last week. Got it for 294 shipped from tbyrne.com. The thing sure is better looking than i expected. Not to mention it was cheaper than the BBK, which look like complete ****.

I have a BBK and I have had it for about 5 years and I HATE it. I also had to break out the sand paper rolls. The throttle is sticky.
I've had a strange idle problem ever since I built my motor and have just recently tracked a vacume leak coming from the throttle blade shaft. This throttle body and engine only has 5000 miles in 5 years so its not like I wore it out. BBK=JUNK get the AS&M IMO

Go holley all the way i had nothing but problems with the bbk. butterflys and the outter hook up for the cable came apart (so i had no throttle) I have Holley now and and it is 100% better and looks alot better.
