my bad, I just caught that. Well if you want a roller, its time for a vented opti. I wish that would make a unvented opti sprocket

the LT4 extreme is a singal roller. You can get a Cloyes but it is not for a standard LTx water pump

WHen we say early LT1, this means the NON-vented opti. Its a different timing chain cover, optispark etc etc. LT4 uses a Vented opti and different cam sprocket

yes, 92-95 uses a different cover and opti, I have found roller chains for 96 and 97 but not the early ones.

'95 uses the same opti that the '96 and '97's do, the timing cover just doesn't have the spot for the crank sensor.

But, do you have to replace the Sprockets when you do the chain, or can you just buy the roller chain. Don't really feel like dropping almost 3bills on a timing chain.

Well.... you have a vented opti-spark, which in the aft-formentioned post it was asked was there an early LT1 roller timing chain.... early is non-vented opti.
