Don't know there are 2 different truck coils you are going to have to find out first which coil you have.

i thought truck/LS2 coils were bolt ons for LS1 powered cars...since 98 was a bastard year for a lot of stuff, you may have to find a 99+ harness

I have the LS1 coil pack conversion. I just used the LS1 coils b/c to really need the extra spark the truck coils give you, you are gonna have to be running over 800hp. I actually am trying to sell my coil pack conversion b/c i am putting in a distributor with a F.A.S.T. computer. I am trying to get $400 shipped for it. PM me if anyone is interested. It works great but i will be turning ~8500rpm and it still uses the optispark's optical pickup.

Ultra94 Z: you might wanna try and scrap the truck coils (sell them) and get some LS1 coils or you could get 8 pigtails for the truck coils and splice them in, or go to a junk yard and try and find a wrecked truck and yank the harness out.

Just asking why would I sell those coils are they no good that is what my big stuff dfi came with I would assume thier good right!!!!why dont you just keep your coil pack conversion and buy the big stuff dfi instead of a distributor u use a cam sync sensor goes in distributor hole looks like a distributor?

I have had alot of electrical issues in the past and just problem after problem with my ignition, it all traces back to the optispark. I am just eliminating as much electronic stuff as possible b/c i believe in being simple and reliable. My car is a road race car so i will be very hard on this motor and ignition revving to over 8k. So i guess it comes down to just personal preference. Try to make less excuses my car can make to act up.
