How high do your guys with head/cam packages rev your stock block?

I need to get to 6500. I have 90,000 miles

is this possible or just an accident waiting to happen?

Or should I got with a cam that has goes thats around 6200

You can go to 6500 but you're on borrowed time. Unless you're planning a rebuild I'd stay 6200 or less (preferrably less).

The bearings just can't handle 6500 forever.

 

okay that was a good way to put it.
So what about doing a rebuild?

What are some suggested parts I should use?

for port and polish head with cc306 cam
