The knock module is in the PCM (on all years). The sensor(s) is in the block. 96-97 (OBDII) has two knock sensors in the block and 93-95 has one sensor in the block. Yes, you can get the LT4 knock module for a 95. I don't have the part number handy but you can find it at gmpartsdirect.com.

No i mean can't you disable it or change it while tuning the pcm, is there an option to without switching out the module?

Darrell, the OBD2 F body cars also use one knock sensor. The B body cars use two. Makes no difference if it is OBD1 or 2. You do not want to use an LT4 knock sensor with an OBD1 PCM. No need to change the module either.
You can take care of any false knock problems when you tune the PCM.

Good luck, Ed

Can someone go into more detail with this? I just installed my KM and I was starting to worry if it was a waste of time or not. Now youre saying you can do this from the tune, I wanna know how so I can get it

It won't hurt anything to run it, just a few wasted dollars. I never use them here. I take care of that area when I tune them. The guys that don't know how to do that, put those things in.

So do LT4 KM work at all or is it hype? I want to get a tune from you but I live in the Middle east which means I would be SOL whenever I need to go into my ecm to make changes since you lock yours. Would I have to keep sending my computer back and fourth for small changes? Thanks for the quick reply

If that's the case I may have to give him a try soon. Also I just had the chance to drive my car with the LT4 KM. It did nothing for me at all. Mabey it gets better with time but so far I'm dissapointed. Everyone that said they felt a gain, said it helped, said the is smoother and runs better with it etc etc is FOS. I didnt notice squat. My next question is what is it's function? Will you see the same amount of knock retard but it pulls less timing or is it suppose to show less knock degrees on the scanner?
