My bro-in-law just bought a TPI setup to replace the factory 4barrel carb 305 HO setup in his 86 Monte SS. My question is will an LT1 MAF work w/ the TPI setup????

Does he have a wiring harness that's gonna match it? Did any of the TPIs have a MAF? I'm not sure.

i think u should ditch the tpi setup and keep the carb
unless its for econo reasons
2 much hassle tryin 2 piece together parts i think

 

TPI is by far the Sexiest EFI system ever used. That is the main reason

 

Ram Chargers shut down last year. Not sure where to get those gadgets now... TByrne might know.

TPI was a good lookin' intake, especially when polished up and clean.

 

He was gonna do an LS1 swap w/ the one outta my wrecked 99Z but just didnt have the cash to do it so he sold that motor and now he's going w/ a TPI setup now which will still be unique in a 80's model Monte SS around my local area. The only other two monte SS's around here are just running the 5.0 carb setup. Anyway, I think he has most everything he needs now but he's got a spare MAF off my 95 Z28 and was wanting to use it. So the maf translator is all he needs?? I'll chech tbryne out and see if they have it. thanks folks

 

I know know Mike Licht opened his own place again him and one other guy were at the heart of those toys. They are still around.
