Summit sells more MSD products than all other retailers combined. They have a special agreement with MSD for priority stock. MSD has to keep a reserve of everything for them.

Not trying to be a d!ck but what did you think the rep would say? "Ok sir, just to let you know, we dont have these ready to ship and actually we've moved the release date a few times already. More than likely you wont get this hot, new, improved item for at least 3 months."

I myself would really like to buy a new msd opti myself but im not going to play there politics, especially when there is absolutely nothing wrong with a stock opti that is properly cared for.

Oh well, Im stoked either way. Still waiting on Advanced Induction so the opti isn't really holding anything up. However long it takes, I hope it's worth the wait.

You are exactly the type of easily wowed goober MSD was looking for.
The Cap and rotor may prove to be a genuine upgrade, the "features" they added to make a whole "new" opti are sales gimmicks.
