I always thought internals meant block, crank, rods, pistons.

Ok... stock internals is GENERALY meant the rotating assembly.. that means heads, intake, cam, RR's, juice, boost, and all bolt on's are fair game.

If you want to know what the fasted run without anything IN the motor.. it is a STOCK MOTOR... not stock internals (well it is that too.. but it is compltly stock..) stock internals means rotating assembly.

See, I see a lot of people saying they ran times with nitrous, yet Shon is getting a lot of flak because he changed out his rockers and springs. Running nitrous is not part of the stock internal or even bolt on equation for that matter. Shon's car without the rockers would still be good for high 11s Gotta head up to your shop sometime shon to discuss suspension

That is not true at all. Stock internals would mean stock motor. "Internals" is anything in the motor so yes stock motor would be stock internals. Just look at the "stock internals" list under the drag racing section. All of those cars have an untouched motor...meaning nothing inside the motor has been changed. I'm sure some people have a different interperation of the term "stock internal" but GENERALLY...Stock internal DOES mean stock engine...with just bolt ons added to the exterior part of the engine.

Above is the rules for Pure Street, Stock Internal LT1/LS1 for the F-Body Shootouts that I attend each year at MIR. RRs are allowed for LT1s and they still haven't found 11s yet. Shon's Z is a freakin monster, with or without RRs. He could win the class easily, but it's a good drive from SC to MD.

I would like to go run that class with you guys. Granted I would have to add back in 50ish pounds due to interior and seat rules but I could survive. Be cool to run same day/same track.

And for those that are being freaked out by the !interior, buddy just dropped off a full interior for me, so sometime (over summer probably) LW carpet and interior will be going back in.

Thinking about it. I am torn. no secret here but it pisses me off that I can not row the gears like Russ can in my car, I love seeing it run the number but it would be so much more fun it I was running the car.
2006 goals were to put a new clutch disk in the car, that has been done. Set the bolt on record lower so that it would be hard to break, almost done. After the 11.80 run I know it will go into the 11.70's. Next goal was to practice until i could shift the gears like that....now I need more practice...if the practice does not produce the results I want then T-braked TH350 with 4k stall will go in and see what happens, it might be faster?!?!!?

if it hooks and launches good.... and suspension is setup right... its pretty much a garentee it will be faster... everyone always says the race in won in the first 60'.... and you couldn't do anyhting else to help your 60 out more than that...
