Fastest Stock Internal LT1??

Default Fastest Stock Internal LT1??
Trying to set a goal for myself....

I looked thru the ET Database list, but wanted to get some input in case things have changed....

What is the fastest a bone stock internal LT1 has gone.....boosted, sprayed, or N/A??

also, is there even a reason to try and go for fastest stock internal/stock suspension LT1, or does anyone even keep up with stock suspension setups??

I will have to go to a different track of course, with our average 5000' DAs here in Lubbock, but Houston could offer some great air.

I'm pretty sure the 6spd stock internal NA record is 12.48, the auto record I belive is 12.04...I dont know the bossted/spray records

Let's clarify, bone stock being nothing done, as it came off the show room. Or are you talking about bolt ons with a stock motor?

It's high 11s. Like 11.9 I think. Lightened, full bolt on + tire car.

There was a thread about this not long ago, a quick search should find it.

The question was STOCK internal...ROcker arms dont qualify for stock internal by definition.

I bet you'll be in the 12's...they have to be worth atleast 2 tenths..especially with fresh tight springs...

I doubt the RR are worth 2 tenths, i agree the springs are helpful.

I ran 11.40 with a stock internal LT1 and a 150 shot.... car was 3500 lbs as well.... valve covers had never been off the car and even had a stock throttle body.... but i'm sure that had been beat.... AFAIK, someone in texas ran deep in the 10's with a stock internal setup like i had only he used an ignorant amount of juice to what equated to a banzai run.... trying to blow it up but it lasted a few passes...... think it was a 10.60 sumthin he ran....

A stock internal record would be mighty sweet to acheive.

Not directed directly at you but it was posted.

the 'rules' are the rules, LT1's have accept the RR set up. The LSx'ers dont. I do not care. If that bothers you, then buy the LS1 and go for it.

I consider rockers stock internal still. 11.80 is damn impressive. Would it be too much of a bother to ask for a full mods list shon? You can pm it if you want

LT1's have accepted RR's as "BOTL ON'S" ...never as stock internal. There is a difference. The reason why you see the Stock internal list on LS1's compared to a "bolt on" list for LT1's is because LS1's come from the factory with decent rockers( roller fulcrum) and the gain to be had with full rollers isnt that great compared to the ones on LT1's. With that..there are many more Stock internal LS1's then ones with bolt ons and full roller rockers. Shon you have the fastes BOLT ON LT1..it is known...But it isnt the fastest Stock internal LT1
