Default Shorty Headers

I know people usually prefer long tube headers, but do shorty headers give your car a louder tone or better sound?

I have shorties too and with my cam it sounds SICK. my buddy has LTs and it sounds WAY to raspy. The shorties give it a low deep rumble. Kinda like a harly times 10

depends on what you go with, but yeah a little. the bbks that i put on on the drivers side all the primaries go up and back like the stock manifold so clearence is great on that side, on the passenger side there was a bit of improvement but not a whole hell of alot.

I had a set of Pacesetter shorties, and I blew the collectors off of them, literally. They rusted through, and I don't run that hot. I still have my factory cat in, so it has alot of base. I am putting in Hooker Super Comp LT's with 3" collectors, and a 3" Y pipe into the Catback I currently have.

Shorties are a nice gain when they are put on inplace of the manifolds. From what I have heard, LT's are about 10hp over the shorties.

LT's give you alot more power than both.

From low to top, LT's rule.

Shorties are good for high revving engines, and mids are great for DD's who need to pass inspections but want some good power.

Coated LT's rule all.

LT's will make more power everytime, they're good for about 25 hp over stock manifolds. Shortys are good for about 15.

If you have to use shortys for emissions reasons, then they're definetly worth the dough. I myself am looking into them for my next mod.

actually you can go with mids and still pass inspection.

sort by how you want and take your pick on which one you like.

car launches like a turtle but it makes a ton of noise going down the 1320.

The only thing Im worried about with the LT's is the ground clearance? How close are they to the ground from stock height? 95 TA
