depends on what you go with, but yeah a little. the bbks that i put on on the drivers side all the primaries go up and back like the stock manifold so clearence is great on that side, on the passenger side there was a bit of improvement but not a whole hell of alot.

I had a set of Pacesetter shorties, and I blew the collectors off of them, literally. They rusted through, and I don't run that hot. I still have my factory cat in, so it has alot of base. I am putting in Hooker Super Comp LT's with 3" collectors, and a 3" Y pipe into the Catback I currently have.

LT's give you alot more power than both.
From low to top, LT's rule.
Shorties are good for high revving engines, and mids are great for DD's who need to pass inspections but want some good power.
Coated LT's rule all.

LT's will make more power everytime, they're good for about 25 hp over stock manifolds. Shortys are good for about 15.
If you have to use shortys for emissions reasons, then they're definetly worth the dough. I myself am looking into them for my next mod.

here is a vid with decent sound quality of my LT1 w/ pacesetter shorties, open y-pipe.

car launches like a turtle but it makes a ton of noise going down the 1320.
