Default header install price

how much have you guys payed to get your headers installed and which is harder to do full lenght or mid lenght hoping to get a set soon

when i put some on my LT1 T/A... i payed 400....i thought i was very over priced tho...

Free...Take the time and do it yourself. Then you can use the money you saved on more mods.

You really should do it yourself. It's great knowledge! I just recently put LT's on a buddies LS1. He is so glad he didn't have someone else do it for a ridicoulous amount of money!

Guys not everyone has the time/know-how/tools to undertake this install. You are looking 3-400 because its a pain and most shops dont want to mess with it.

Yea, most people that own cars don't know that much about their cars. I have to replace Head Gaskets, so time for the Long Tubes while I am there...

But I got some help from some buddies and did it for free, i have yet to pay them back in a way. But I shall find one.

$250 would be the cheapest I would install them for, and thats for a friend, who buys the beer!

Most shops make reference to a "book" that has the time required to perform work on a car. According to the book, headers on an LT1 is an eight hour job. Depending on how much the shop pays its mechanics an hour, you could be looking at an $800.00 job that'll keep your car overnight--if you're lucky.

To do it yourself... it will be a weekend job. And you're going to need help. Get some friends and a manual.
