Ticket for no license plate, now what!

You don't have to fix it if I remember correctly. It costs like $70 to just pay it and like $10 if you show proof you fixed it. I live in Cali, and that was the the law last time i was busted for no front plate. The law could have changed since then though. Just a question, how many lamborghinis or ferraris have you guys seen with a front plate? That's because they are ugly!

If you look under the link for Rob Fornell
If you scroll to the bottom you will see some additional links I think there are some better images under 2003 . Don't forget to view the videos also. I have a 95 Trans Am. In Wisconsin we are required to have a plate and it also required to be mounted in the original location I did both but tried to clean up the look by putting 2 new holes in the plate ( spaced to the holes that were used by the mounting plastic) and throwing the original mounting plastic away.

A friend of mine attached his plate to the front of the air dam. You can hardly see it, but aparently it is good enough for the cops. I dont have a front plate, and was giving a ticket for it one time. I just taped it on, snaped a picture, and the ticket was droped.

If it gets you out of a ticket go for it.
I got one of those 'minor tire squeaking' tickets a couple weeks ago, cop told me I was lucky because he (and I quote) wasnt in the mood to put a wreckless driver in jail that night. Traffic police, serious buisness

As soon as my crap gets fixed my front plate will be off. Over the course of time driving cars with no front plates (maybe 18 months total) I got pulled over for it once. No ticket. If I get pulled over for it, so be it. Id rather not have my car look ugly.
Although I might end up just attaching it to the air dam someday if I get bored.

If you put it on the front air dam, will they still give you a hard time? I got pulled for no front plate and got into a bunch of trouble for some other things. I would rather have the billet grill on there, but based on my luck am worried about it. Anyone been pulled when its on the air dam? Sorry to kind of hijack the thread.

Thats what planning on doing when I get the nose of the car repainted.
I'm pretty sure VA law says a tag "must be visible from the front" or something like that.
Mounting it on the air dam is visible from the front. You've just gotta be a few feet in front of the car.
Edit: On second thought... I think I'm just going to put it back on the nose of the car. In Richmond, people LOVE to back into the front of your car while parallel parking. Plate + bracket beats some non-driving ******* running a trailer hitch through the nose.

I got pulled over once for the same thing. It does give the cops and excuse to continue screwing with you. I'd hate to get a DUI cause you had two beers at a buds house and he pulls you over for not having the plate on the car. Regardless of what you do try to get the plate on the car somehow, permanetly.
