That's what I'm saying. I know Bret is down, but waiting on Joe's reply. I would like to see;

N/A 4th Gen F-body's
Stock Location Suspension
Similar Weight
Some Sort of Transmission rules
Some sort of Engine rules

Especially since I think both builders have those kind of cars to race.

I would love to see the same. That would be a great race. I believe I have heard a great deal about your setup from Bret, and perhaps you the same guy that the famous term..."Malark" came from?

You say what you do is just a hobby...but theres obviously more to it because your butt-hurt enough about Lloyd and your business relationship going sour that you need to ruin every thread you post in by throwing **** around at Bret. I personally know Bret, and he has a great deal of respect for you and never said anything remotely bad about you until you started bashing him.

I do have a car that Bret has a hand in building, and it certainly isn't a trailer queen/race car. Perhaps when its all finished i can invite you to a race, maybe then you will think hes the real deal?
sour business ??? gimme a break I just want to see something more than jawing..

PINKS!
PINKS!
PINKS!

Get these guys on PINKS!!!!

On the othre hand, if you just want to compare who makes the best cam, you need the exact same car, and just swap cams. Who ever has the most/best area under the curve wins.

As I read this thread I see it has carried over from the camaro forum with Bret and Joe. I do have one Question thou. I run LE2 heads and a CC503 cam and run .5 tenths of a second faster than a freinds 383 Joe O head and cam setup. Me 355 LE2 heads and small 224/230, friend 383 Joe O cam/ heads. Me a Yank 3500 Stall. Friend a Vig 3200 stall. Both cars basically the same suspension and full weight (Impala SS @4400lbs). Same 4.10 gears and I still run the 17" Impala rims on the front and 275/60/15 MT DR's on the back. He is running skinnies on the front and 28/11.5/15 ET streets on back. The best He has run is 12.66 with a Joe O in house tune and I ran 12.18 with a Bryan Herter mail order tune. I trap 112 in the 1/4 and he trapped 110, and I still haven't installed the LE2 cam yet. So what gives? LLOYD ROCKS

HVY SS

Agreed. He was just short of it, but when he spent the money on having it tuned, fast 90/90 setup, AFR heads, i think most the internals were lunati, so Im sure he spent the money for everything to be done right.

I spent a lot also but I did everything all at once, full exhaust, rearend, AFR heads, 383 shortblock, throttle body, intake, all new hoses (radiator, heater, powerstearing) full suspension, clutch & flywheel, ignition, nitrous, oil system (pan and pump) fuel system, cam, electric water pump, drive shaft plus all the lttle odds and ends like gaskets, It's gonna add up

I can esily say I spent about $12,000 to $13,000.

Reason why di did this is cause I have a friend who put his LT4 setup, first time at the track broke the rear end, next he broke his drive shaft, the the radiator. I wanted everything new so it would be less likely to mess up as I drive along.

The AFRs make gret low end lift power though. IM thinking i might do the 195cc Competition package from AFR.

For the 3rd time in this thread, the smaller AFR's (<200 cc) don't flow very well at all - in the 230-240 range. If you go AFR, get the 210's. The difference in low-end torque won't even be 10 ft-lb, but the 210's flow 40+ more cfm.

DAMN!

We have had good luck with Llyod's stuff and we have always made more power with small cam's. Always more then stock AFR stuff. AFR is a great casting to start with! My stock castings with LE-X Port extremely flow well

Phil makes great stuff also! He knows what he is doing and I have never heard any thing bad about him.

We all know Joe is and ***. Who isn't No reason to really argue about it. He goes fast and alot of people worship the ground he walks on.

Bret has always been a great help and has never steered me wrong.

Different strokes for different Folk's. I am going to CFE heads next!

Dude I had mine benched (195 competition) and they flowed 275 int/202 exh. Those numbers are almost up there with what they advertise. I think I pulled some decent numbers on the dyno. The thing that killed it was the lift on my cam.

I must admit the last set of AFR heads we got(210s) did not even come close to what we had ordered.........

they were alot better after they were ported

My AFR 190's also didn't flow what was advertised, I also wouldn'y call it within the margin of error either. I wouldn't buy an AFR head and use it out of the box.

My 190's didnt flow that well either I think. It threw my expected numbers way off after the P&P
