it can work with some major modifications to the intake. or so i've been told. its best to just stay with the lt4 intake if it is at all affordable. or if not just port the stock lt1 heads and intake. seems to be the most popular route and some great numbers come from it.

I found these heads on summit. They are the same specs as LT4 Heads, just a 62cc chamber, instead of a 54cc. They will bolt up with stock LT1 Intake. I am putting together a list for a 383 Stroker, and these are the Heads I am looking at.

minor mods to the lt1 intake and it fits. just got our lt4 intake in tho. why does everyone without lt4 heads say this? not trying to flame, but lets not be giving misinformation. I bolted on my lt4 heads with stock intake not more than 2 years ago...

Why would you want LT4 heads with lt1 intake. Is'nt there some sort of air restriction there? It's like having a 2" exhaust pipe with a 3" inlet muffler. It's not like the LT4 intake is expensive $250.00

yea the prices went wayyy up! I'd also like to know how to get the lt1 intake on the lt4 heads. I've heard countless times you cant do it and that it isnt worth it anyway. like streetworrior96 said, just stay with one or the other. makes sense.

The LT4 intake has the same ports and plenumk as the LT1 it is just red and has more aluminum above the ports to seal to the TALLER LT4 ports in the heads. I capitolized TALLER for a reason as this is more the issue than the "raised" as most want to believe. The LT4 intake requires some pretty signifigant porting if you want it to match the heads or flow any better than an LT1 intake.

Far as the Trickflows I don't know why it is some people are SSSSSOOOOOOOO VERY SIMPLE as to not comprehend Trickflows own recommendations of boost or stroker for those, what Trickflow is saying is they are not recommending them for a stock shortblock NA as most of us run. The Trickflows are good I would recommend them LONG before the crap AFR sells, BUT for the vast majority of us portes LT1 yes LT1 castings are the better choice. The LT4 heads are even not a good choice for a 350 unless you want to rev it past what the pcm is physically capable of handling.

The LT4 intake recently ran out of stock with no plans for new production so prices have indeed spiked to take advantage of the ignorant who think the LT4 crap is the ultimate.

You aint going to listen anyway so I wont waste my time. Most of you have already made up your minds LT4s and AFRs are the beall endall anyway, the only thing that will convince you otherwise is when the LT1 head guy who knew what he was doing blows you away at the strip.

LT4s have their place I am not saying they are worthless just grossly misused.

There is a guy or guys on ebay doing LT1 intakes for LT4 heads and they have different setups as far as throttle body sizes. AFR are good and it is pretty hard to deny but it depends on what AFR's you are getting. LT4 stuff is some what over rated, they are better than stock but not that much. Myself I used ET Performance and will see how I like them soon. These threads are weekly discussions repeatedly.
