I Heard this cam in person and can tell you it idles and sounds totally stock through a cutout or a magnaflow catback. Rides and idles like stock and is unsuspecting to all. The 360 is higher then i've seen but depending on what tranny & bolt on's are used i guess it's possible.

Silent But Deadly (SBD) ? I've heard that refer to other things.

There are some H/C packages with cams approaching a SBD. Some cams that pass emission testing might be close.

Of course claiming 400 rwhp and actually getting it are not always the same thing.

So if you had a SBD cam, why would you tell someone? How you gonna make any money that way?

I had a "cadillac" cam installed at speed inc. car puts down 325 to the wheels with stock heads. It sounds totally stock which is good I suppose but that loping sound is SOOO nice But I had to worry bout emmisions so this was the best route. You can always give Larry a call or email and he can tell ya more about it I'm not much of a mech thats why they did the work

i have heard of sleeper cams, keeping the LSA tight and you wont hear the lope, but i havnt heard one for the lt1, i know they have them for the ls1, some girl brought a black SS in for a window motor and i thought nothing of it, gone in, pulled it around back, didnt sound or drive like a cammed car (auto), no low end dying, then later on one of my boss's told me it made over 400 RWHP, supposedly cam only, but i think it has some head work, but still, i thought it was bone stock, i was really suprised

All my redneck friends sit around and beat off talking about 3/4 race cams... I don't think the term still applies... But I'd like to know exactly what it is...

ya i would tend to think that someone was jerking your chain. however it is possilble that it was a mild cam from what i have learned the actual lope you hear a cammed car make is the valve overlap. so maybe this thing has a high lift with little overlap (i think that is the type of cam that you want on a nitrous car) i may be wrong but thats just my understanding of cams.

I'd just go with the Cadillac cam from Speed Inc, if I wanted a "silent" cam. There was a thread about it not too long back this week. Someone posted a quote from a guy on camaroz28.com that had it. He said he put down 316 whp with no other mods (stock intake and exhaust), I believe. I'd think that if you got LT's, !cat, a good catback, and cai with a good tune, you could probably see around 330 or 340 whp.
