info direct from a customer here...

We had originally designed this cam for a personal friend. The car was 96 WS6 with the only mods being

drop in K&N
Flowmaster muffler

The car made 330 rwhp , but I do not recall the torque though it was good. The car sounded and drove like stock and had great low end. I am sure with heads and full exhaust you could see 350 ish rwhp.

Welcome to 2 years ago Larry My Z made 337 RWTQ and had GREAT low end grunt. I still have the dyno sheet showing the before and after of the install which included the cam and shorty headers with high flow cats.

What are the lift numbers on the cam? I've been searching and can't find any definate numbers. I saw someone say that they thought it was 520/540, but they weren't sure. And if that is it, is it with 1.5 or 1.6 rr's?

Probably can't find them because they like to keep them under wraps. Best is to call them and see if they can help with the questions.

Those are good #'s but Im surprised no one has mentioned the Crane 227. Its pretty damn quiet, and puts down serious track times too. I know a few members on here run it and from the vids I've heard its pretty docile.

I agree, the crane 227 is a sleeper. Somewhere last month somebody posted their dyno chart with this cam and mild port heads, 354 rwhp, 353 tq. Now that's amazing!

That wouldnt make sense, if it made 330whp with just air filter and a muffler

It should make 350whp with all boltons, maybe a bit more?

i had the 227 but with shorties, headwork, and a flowmaster. didn't sound stock at all. sounded pretty mean actually. maybe with manifolds and stock mufflers its a different story though.

It was awesome. It was just too bad i had knock like a **** the whole time i had it so i didnt get the most out of it. still it ran great. if i had fixed my knock problem back then it would have definitely been a 12 second car. i reccomend it. also in case it hasn't been mentioned already this cam held the cam only record for a while.

yeah my knock took about a year to figure out and fix. was able to correct it without desensitizing the sensor which was awesome.

i sold the 227 to asandman who is a member. you may want to hit him up and see how he likes it.
