Could be the tranny mount, maybe the console bolts just need to be gone over. You have M6 I assume? Look at the shifter stick. Should be little to no vibration. That will tell you if you need a mount or not.

THey are simple to install and I preferred my poly mount over the stock one anyway. Gave you more of a sure feel when it shifts. They cost about $25 or so. I think AutoZone carries them. It will take you 30 min. to install. http://www.installuniversity.com/ins...sity/index.htm The LS1 and LT1 mounts install the same way.

Yea, get you a Poly one, I tore the factory one apart. Real easy to install, jack up the Trans, unbolt the crossmember and the mount, and bolt the new one in place, then put back the crossmember.

It's going to be more difficult if you only have one side jacked up. My tranny mount blew a few years ago on my 93 Z28 and I got the Poly version and had no problems. Just spend a little extra $ for another jack stand and make it easy on yourself, they can't be that expensive.

You could use that jack to jack it up, that's what it's designed for. I wouldn't use it to hold the car up, that's how you get hurt. You need to put the car on ramps or on stands, and jack up the Transmission, so you can unbolt the cross member.

Mine did the same thing. I think popping it is the thing on this car that takes the virginity away from it..lol
If you haven't done it, than you arent driving it the way it should be....
