TURBO OR SuperCharger

j/k But yea, you are right.
1. turbo set up will cost more.
2. on the same boost level (say 6 psi) you will hit full boost at a lower rpm with turbo setups with the right size of turbo giving you better midrange touque and hp. (3000 vs. 6000)
3. with the turbo you can adjust the boost on the fly.
4. supercharers sound bad *** though, althoug some prefer the turbos spool and blow off.
5. supercharers are much more simple to set up than turbos. (excluding sts)
6. boost costs more than what you plan, so figure a bit more in. in some cases a lot more.
what would I prefere after having both, turbo comes out on top. even though my s/c would launch harder than my turbo because I have no two step, but I am still quicker with my turbo setup.

Thank you aggie.
Im talking about parts you build the motor with. It would be the same on both sides i guess, wear/tear. But for a DD there are some parts that just wont work. For example. Weisco Hellfire rings, ive heard are SUPER SICK on a Race motor, and will be really ruff on the pistons for street use.

1. the power gain from a sc increases in a smooth and predictable fashion, with turbos, you get a huge hit of power at a certain point that varies based on the car and turbo setup
2. s/c boost is usually fairly constant (cause you have to swap parts to change it), with turbos lots of people use boost controllers to change it around on the fly.
