Banjo Bolt in the back of the heads. Help!
Okay I'm trying to get everything assembled outside the car while I can. I know for a fact there is a banjo bolt in the back of the heads that serves some kind of useful purpose. I was wondering if anyone knew what I was talking about? Anyone have a picture? Most importantly a part number? Could somebody help walk me through this so I could get this car back on the road.
Does Secondary AIR ring a bell?

I dont know the part number off hand, but I picked the bolts up at a Chevy dealer. I had him bring up an exploded diagram of the engine and found the parts that way. You will also need the four rubber washers as well. One between the head and banjo and one between the banjo and the bolt head, on each side. Good luck.

I bough a couple of barbed 90's with npt on the other end, ran a rubber line after that, the stock banjo bolts and I had a dissagreement, and I won. they were the biggest pita to remove and replace heads.

LT1 steam pipe behind heads (93-94) (includes bolts, seals, hose to radiator) = 10108635
LT1 steam pipe behind heads (95-97) (includes bolts and seals) = 12556260
LT1 coolant steam pipe seals (93-97) = 10108689
LT1 coolant steam pipe bolts (93-97) = 12552974
Taken from the parts list section ( https://ls1tech.com/forums/general-maintenance-repairs/336981-lt1-lt4-ls1-ls6-f-body-part-numbers.html )
It's well worth buying a new set if the old is crappy, it's cheep and these pipes carry hot coolant directly from the heads into the radiator.

Mine didn't break, I found reinstalling the tube with the heads off the engine was easier during reassembly. I just rigged it up with my intake to get the pipe right. It took maybe a extra minute to get the heads lined up, but with another person present I'd put the tube on before putting the heads back on the car.
I got the driver side one off somehow when removing, it sucks. It might not suck if you have the tool the manual was saying I should use, well I was tired of buying more tools, I now have twice as many tools as I used to own when I did my head gaskets.
