alum. vette heads vs stock z28 heads
other than the obvious weight difference, what kinda flow difference are there between the two heads?? im looking for something to go w/ the lt4 hotcam, but dont need anything too radical just something that flows a little better...
would it be worth my time to get a set of Alum. vette heads of a 4bolt lt1 and swap them onto my motor??

JAB...you're correct....there is NO difference between the vette lt1 and the camaro lt1...except for the 4 bolt mains....and the price tag.
most vette owners don't know that....they think they got something special

Im taking off my stock heads. Im going with a set of iron heads P&P'ed to the max with larger valves. Wanted Iron due to boosted motor. I was planning on selling old heads around $100 if you're interested. Im swapping them out around first of august.

i cant have any down time, pulling them off and sending them to le or even having it done locally will take a while, id rather just pick up a set. i dont need to, i can always use stock heads w/ the cam, just figured if some1 wanted to get rid of one for under 500 id take it.

The only cam difference in the Vettes and the F-bodies was the 92 Cam. It was different than the cams in the 93-97.

the cam change he's talking abou happend for the vette between 92/93....93 is the first year for the f-body lt1, so we are also equiped with the "new" cam that he was talking about....
so in short, once again...vette owners just think the got something special....but in the reallity of it....they got the exact same parts
