long tube question

im looking to get a set of long tube headers but i need to know if any of them have the emmision pipes that come of the primaries.

i was looking at a set of hooker or pacesetters

go any other suggestions on make?

got a brand new still in the box set of jet hot long tubes for sale on ebay for 375$. That's very cheap considering they are a good 500$ shipped usually. Plus I will fed ex them to who ever wins the auction. My ebay user id is edrl1970. thanks.

alright not much help so far. another question. the tubes that come of the primarys that hook up to rubber hoses what are they? and is there any way I can get rid of them? b/c most of the good header systems dont have them. i doo need to pass emissions

those rubber hoses are the AIR system and are needed to pass emissions, EGR is a must to pass as well and cats will need to be placed on the system somewhere, i just passed with the pacesetter LT's with a single cat just after the y-pipe

neither the air pump nor the egr is necessary to pass emissions. air pump is to help the cat when its cold (from what ive heard most dont work anyway) and as long as you have a 3 way convertor it should take care of NOx (the reason for the egr valve). I have Kooks 1 3/4" offroad lts with their catted y and the ory. With the catted y on I passed the sniffer earlier this week. As long as your car is running right the 3-way convertor will be good enough. Kooks also sells emission legal lts

well i have a 97 so its obdII so as long as i dont have a check engine light on i will be happy.

and what is this i hear about the air delete mod will that throw a code?

I live in an area with visual emissions inspection only and I have Kooks stepped stainless with AIR and EGR fittings...Quite possibly the nicest header I have ever used...Worth the $$$...
