Default Another questions about after market heads...

i have a 95 z28 and i am wondering what heads would be good for the street? i would like to replace the heads and cam but not put too much stress on the botom end. any recommendations on what heads/cam to use? and any idea on what HP i can expect? thanks.... oh, and i have read about the LE1/2 heads but some people say they are good and tohers say they are only for boosted motors. whats the deal? thanks.

The TRICKFLOWS are the ones for boosted motors, the LE 1 and 2s are ported stock castings. Ported staock castings are a great way to go LE is one vendor, I chose www.advancedinduction.com and on the right side of the screen when you are just in the forum not a thread there are a number of others that could help you.

That's not a concern. A local fella' made 470+ rwhp NA on a stock bottom end with a pretty wild heads/cam combo. Shifting over 7000 rpm and never a problem. The stock bottom end will handle rev's very well. Now, if you start talking Nitrous or boost, it's a whole different story. . .

They're a set of ported LT4 heads. Peak numbers weren't that great (well below 300 cfm), but the mid and low-lift flow was very good. The cam is a solid roller 255/263.
