i bet you do miss that camaro, i checked it out and it was bad ***.

ok, advandced induction is going to port my heads and give me a cam, so
if i get this 383 rotating assembly:
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku
what else will i need to rebuild the engine?

thats all replaced when they do the headwork. $1600 for porting my stock heads and refurbishing them, and a new cam.

plus $9xx for the rotating assembly, thats $2500. if thats all i need to do the motor i might be able to afford this deal. ill be doing most of the labor with a couple of guys who know what they are doing. that leaves me probably $2000 for a rear end or to rebuild mine.

thats my next question, i want to run a 4:10 gear and hopefully be able to get some traction still, what kind of rear end should i get or can i beef my my 10 bolt? do i need better axles?

and my transmission was just replaced about 10K miles ago with a new refurbished t-56

m6 + 10 bolt + 4.10 =

If it was a uto you might get away with it. But If your makeing any power you will gernade the 7.5

Might see if you can find a used 12 bolt, or save alittle more for one. 2k is about the cost for one I believe

thats more than i can spend. did you buy the motor from them? what cost so much?
im lookin at $700-$1000 for a rotating assembly, $1600 for heads and cam, $2000 for rear end, not sure how much its going to cost to get the block bored, plus $500ish worth of labor that i cant do myself (internals).

its a close friend of mine who owes me a favor, and its just for breaking down the engine and installing the new rotating assembly. im budgeting $500 to $1000 for labor, if it exceeds that then well.....ill just have to get more money

I'm in the last days of my build up and we are getting ready to fire her up in the next 2-3 days, I am going through this crap every day, I am ruining around buying stupid parts that I thought would be in perfect ruining shape, and all that is sucking a good amount of cash, just keep the dealers hot line handy if your doing a build up.

I think so far the only 2 things I haven't changed are the fuel tank and the rear end.

thats alwys nice. just remember to add a little extra cash on to your project for little things like mentioned above. it seems like that happens to everyone, it can never be a smooth process, theres always something that goes wrong or something u forget.

After two LT1 build ups, Golen may not be a bad idea.

Well if I put the price down for every thing by itself thats how much $ u would be spending i bought everything through them when i sent the car in it was bone stock, the longblock with the ported heads cam and all the good **** was like $7500 with labor.+8.75%tax(almost a grand there), converter, frameties,e-waterpump,LT's,cai,fuel pump and all the other crap it was more than 10grand. Just do as much as u can yourself and save alot of $ on the labor. But i definately think u'll need more than 5grand. IMO good luck
