Default wierd..

my car is a 94 Z28 M6

i cant or barely spin 1st gear when i mash the gas to the floor... i used to be able to. and i should be able to spin 2nd no problem with fast clutch work. i have 4.10's in the rear and i thought with thoes id break em loose pretty good but i dont. car have no running problems whatsoever.. new opti, new plugs (8 months old). i have 245/50/16's on the front and rear. kumhos in the front and some no named tires in the rear... when i first got the car, i had bald rears and i was able to get squirlly in 1st and 2nd. i wish i still had thoes lol maybe its the heat here in CA? or the tread on the tires? i did a couple burnouts to wear the rears down and the car still doesnt get squirlly.

anyone have a solution?

Have you done a compression check? That amount of loss in power in something you want to figure out before you do damage in case of a problem.
Does hte car still feel strong thru shifts? Or is it acting like its dead?

Might be the heat, I've noticed since I got back last week that they barely give off a little chirp before gripping again, eh I love the way the tires are acting in this heat. On the 1-2 shift I was normally boiling them off for a second, now in this unbelieveably hot weather its just chirp and go.

well today i finished my clutch hydraulics and it gave me a nice squirrel leaving the house on my street going into 2nd. it was around 89* out so i guess it is the heat.

How long have you had 4.10's in it?
Did you break them in properly?

I know a lot of guys on here have went through a couple sets of gears (3.73's, 4.10's) with the 10 bolt.
4.10's have thin teeth.

I would rather save up and put the money towards a 9"

wow what a difference!

i rotated my kumho ecstas from the front to the rear, and this ******* thing goes squirrly now.

i looked on the tires i had on the rear, and it had 6 layers of tread on it, and alot of thoes little 1"X1" square treads on it. no ******* wonder they didnt break loose that much. pretty good tires for $60/each.
