The most common off the shelf cams for the LT1 are the Hot Cam, 305, 503, 306, 847 and some people the GM 846.
You could get a SWEEEEEEEEET *** cam ground for you if you would just take the time. Call up Comp Cams and say "Hey, i really like the GM 847 and the lope it has, but dont have the full potential to make the cam scream. I also DD my car, what do you guys recomend?"
Then call up Futural, Combination, and a few other places, once you think everything sounds good then pay the man.
5 days later you have a kick *** cam at your doorstep.

, j/k that's awesome man! I only made it to mid 12s on my old 847
...hey but I did drive it everyday...well it was my everyday driver therefore had no choice
and i want to go to a 847 bad because i want to break the 400whp area and its hard with this damn 230/236. but then again thats a good size cam to drive everyday so its a decision ill make next summer when i am getting a paint job and the engine will be out for that.
Im sure if the car was a m6 it would have done alot better. gm847+4k stall+3.42=bad gas milageatleast in my car. Others like Ellis have done better
