hey, i have the slp loudmouth 2 its louder than stock and its a good system. i was hoping for it to be a little louder. id say its ok otherwise i think the loud mouth 1 is louder(thats what i wish i would have got) and theres no flow restriction. the lm2 has a race muffler with a minimil restriction but # 1 has 0 restrection. id recommend ethier one.

If youre not planning on modding much, the SLP Loudmouth is the best.
Although some like myself, like the loud annoying and rumbling tone of the LM.
Its the most free flowing exhuast, with 3" Stainless Steel tubing all the way back, then Y's out to 2 1/2" outlets. Its has virtually no restriction and gets you alot more hp.
Problem with the loudmouth is, of you have Long Tube headers with a !cat, or high flow cat, it can get raspy. As long as you dont delete the cataylitic converter (cat), IMO, it sounds just dandy. Not for the timid though.
Borla is a very nice exhaust but pricey. Try and find a used one. Exhaust dont wear out ( Stainless ones anyways )
Magnaflow is good too.
If you want to hear these exhausts for yourself, give this website a try.

Prices vary... Most exhaust run around $400-$700 new, but if you bide your time and look, you should be able to get a used one here in the sale forums, or somewhere else for about half of that price.

thx few more questions
any idea how much hp any of these exhaust systems might add?
btw i like the loudmouth the magnaflow sounds like it's about to explode
but the loudmouth sounds nice and smooth
i also like the corsa exhaust system, is that only for ls1's? or can i put it on my 97 ws6 T/A LT1
what's the difference between headers? and catback? and y-pipes?

Alot of it is really preference. i preffer a deep rumble at idle and partial throtle then when you open it up its raspy and loud as hell. the loud mouth does just that. but i just put a magnaflow on my sisters 94 Z28 and its not bad at all i was even thinking about it after my lts

can anyone explain this to me pls
what's the difference between headers? and catback? and y-pipes?
are they all part of the exhaust system? or different kind of exhausts you can get?
and
any idea on how much hp the lm or the magnaflow will add?

headers take place of the exhuast manifolds on the heads, which are less restrictive and allows you engine to breathe better, creating more horsepower.
a Y pipe is the piping that comes from each side of the manifolds/headers and connects into one pipe.
a catback is the exhuast system from the catalytic converter(s) back. as for which catback you get, listen to them on ls1sounds.com or lt1engine.com and you decide. go by sound, not by performance gains. each system is only going to be a minimal peformance gain over the other unless your making 500 hp. each part you add, is going to create better flow, in returns creates better performance.

yes headers, y pipes and catbacks are a seperate purchase. but when doing headers, you must purchase a y pipe that meets up to the headers.
