ive been lookin around on these forums and im seeing a lot of LT1's with more miles and just as many mods or less as me, running significantly better times than me.
.with just a catback and a cold air i was running 14.2-14.4 with shitty 60's and trapping between 98-99mph. ive since put pacesetter LT's and an ORY on my car and got my mph up to 103 but have only managed a 14.1. my 60's are still attrocious (in the 2.4 range) but would that alone cause me to lose almost a full second?
ive also dynoed the car after the track times and put down 276 HP and 310 TQ, however i have a missfire above 4,500...so it looks like ill be buying some plugs, wires, and an accel opti in the very near future. so my question is should i see much better times with the tune up and maybe a decent set of tires( i know tires will drop my times signifcantly but a full second?)
sorry for the long read, any input is appreciated

work on your launch. every tenth off the 60' is good for .15-.2 off the et. with your trap you should definitely be in the mid to low 13's. I ran a 13.57 and consistently run 13.7's only trapping 98. those were all with 2.2 60's

sounds like a cam, 1.6s rrs, gears, and some spray and you should be down to 13 flat at least if not 12s. but with a cold air and cat back i was running 13.4s easy with shitty 60s. so you might want to look into that. and mine is an automatic

If it makes you feel any better on street tires and near full bolt ons with a tune I only ran a 13.8@100 with a 2.2 60 LOL I know stock guys running faster then that but I also have a fuel issue (was running a little rich) and bad traction. I have since fixed the fuel issue and got stickies

My brother maintains that untill I get up the courage to powershift it at 6500 RPM, that is where I will stay too.
I just can't see hiting it that hard just to break into the 13s....

on a more related note. i borrowed a set of ET streets and ill be going to the track tommorrow, and if i dont get better times, ill just cry more. hopefully itll up my trap too. where do you M6 guys shift? i usually shift at about 5-5,500

with a cold air, !cat, and a cat back i'm runnin 14.4's at around 92 down here in the heat and humidity (sc) with 60' times around 2.1x. when it was still cool out and i had a cut out i ran a 14.061 with a 2.005 60' at about 97, the cut out helped a LOT. your trap speeds are definately there, you just need to hook. let us know how ya do on the DR's, you should be at LEAST 13.8x's with that speed.

103 mph is a respectable trap speed.
With the right hook, thats a mid 13.
Youre shifting could have something to do with it, its hard to be consistent.
