Default Who uses of knows of anyone using the monoblade throttle body?

I am concerned about maximizing my LT4 manifold in my street strip 383. I currently have a BBK 58 mm and wonder if I need something bigger to support my heads and cam; a thread many of you have already read. I also use a TNT N20 plate system. I am sure the two nozzles restrict flow to a measurable degree and thought a monoblade with it's 1300+ cfm capability would out flow the 58mm WITH the nozzles in place. Will this help performance? I also heard that monoblades are difficult to tune. Any insight is appreciated.

Do they have tuning issues? Would the monoblade be an appropriate size for an aggressive 383 with two N20 nozzles obstructing flow?

Dreaming I see Just wondering how your planning on getting a 427 LTX motor?? Im asuming your going to use a LTX production block or maybe an aftermarket one. I also want a 427 but, I want to use the stock LT1 production block and have some deck plates made along with the plates that go between the intake and head.............. you know just like the sbc Ls1 500cube inch that SAM did a while back.

Are you guys this conservative when you vote? I got a solid roller stroker motor that will go 7000+ rpm's with TWO nitrous nozzles in the throttle body blocking flow! So, when exactly is the monoblade throtte body appropriate?...especially if it does not cause tuning problems.

Blue state opinions eagerly welcomed.

I would think the monoblade would hurt flow with the tnt plate, since it will be hitting the flat plate instead of having the center piece of the throttle body to nicly direct the airflow. But I'm guessing the TNT plate has 2 58mm holes in it.

Good point... Do you have a monoblade TNT plate??? Cause I believe for awhile they were making them for monoblades... i could be wrong tho...

You are if correct. The TNT nitrous plate for the LT1 has two 58mm holes. You just mill out the new area that mirrors the monoblade just as you would the intake. What I was referring to with nozzle restriction is just the nozzles themselves. So in the larger picture, I would imagine the monoblade would flow more cfm with the nozzled restriction than an unrestricted (no nozzle) 58mm.

If they do make them I am not aware of them. I was just going to mill out their standard plate much like the intake. I want to do this because I know it will help flow. I just want to find out for sure that it is tunable.
