is my '94 lt1 internally or externally ballanced?

just thinking out loud but if the lt1 is externally balanced at the rear i would assume the flexplate should be for external. I think the internal flexplate would be if you had a completely internal balanced engine, like if you had it rebuilt.

The only small block to be externally balanced was the 400. When they switched to the 1 piece rear main seal in 87 one of the weights was moved to the flexplate/flywheel, but the engine is still internally balanced. Someone led me to believe the same thing about the "internal front/external rear" myth and it cost me a 484$ flywheel.

What about removing the old flexi and seeing if theres any weights or holes drilled , if not get it balanced checked to see how well its balanced if its perfect then the flexi's balanced, if not get new plate and get it balanced to match the old flexi.
