deffinatly intake...and exhuast. they help the motor inhale and exhale better. the only problem is that i actually got worse milage cause i couldnt lay off the gas...its so much more fun to drive with mods. also...make sure your tire pressures good...avoid long idles (you get zero miles to the gallon at idle) try not to start the car a lot of times and avoid breaking hard...just a few tips that helped me save a few bucks at the pump...doesnt seem like much but, it adds up.

they lean the car out and increase the timing. The factory tune is f*cking RICH!

Things that improve milage.
Better intake tract, the freer flowing, the better.
Better catback.
Headers.
Tune up, a thoro one
PCMforLess style mail order tune.

A few things you can do.
Increase tire pressure.
use a taller tire(less revs per mile)
lower the car(less drag)
remove weight
and #1: Keep your right foor outta it!

i just spent an hour a couple days ago tuning my car a local dyno using tuner cat software. after my WOT tuning was done i spent two runs tuning lower rpm fuel/air ratios to get better mpg... so far i picked up a lil over 1 mpg by leaning the mix to 14.8:1 cause stock it was really rich. so i agree with gettin a tune for better mpg

also theres something in tuning called DTCO(i think), that shuts fuel of on decel which is sposed to help a bit. I don't think you will 100% see 3-4 increase in milage, but it would likely be close.

The best mod is the driver mod. Change the way you drive and according to the government you will get better gas milage during the crisis.

Keep your Tires inflated properly, and take all of the junk out of the trunk.

I don't get the point of spending $$ to get better fuel milage, since it wont pay off for years. BTW intakes don't increase gas milage, the TB causes the only restriction on the intake under cruising conditions. Think about it, for part throttle it restricts the air flow. And the stock intake is not restrictive at part throttle.

I am getting about 18/19mpg average, I am not complaining with the stuff I have done to it, and the power it's pushing.
