New Stocker

Back in go-kart days we'd take the grease packed bearings apart, clean them and then just use white lithium or WD-40. Helped rolling resistance, but had to keep a very close eye on them.

Any weight savings?
And if this come out of a 3rd gen then the axles are a tad bit shorter, does that help any?
I have considered going to the drum set up on my 4th gen....hmm...I could be that much closer to a stocker!

Any time that you can cut rotating weight it helps. I will weigh some old disks that I have and some aluminum drums and let you know the difference.
The axle was built for a 1982-92 F-body. It's quite a bit lighter than one for a 1993-2002.
With what you have done with your stock internal LT1 you should build an IHRA Pure Stocker.

That is the point of Stock Eliminator. Same with Super Stock, just different rule set. We hold the D/SA record with Charlie Ford's 68 Shelby Mustang Stocker. 10.38's at 128 mph

That's a great running little Mustang! Very impressive car! Didn't know we had any celebrities on here.

Because I eliminated the parking brake and self-adjusters I had to use two hardware kits. I also used the large bore wheel cylinders. The aluminum drums came on Grand Nationals and some other 1980's cars.
Take Care,
