Not going to get into a "uh uh ~ uh huh" about this but it's actually done all the time, I've done it countless times and have friends who have as well with no issues whatsoever, it's not that hard to line up.

ya i found that out today, I dont know why but the summit one would seat just fine flush with the block even when the dowel was in the cam bolt holes. I went and bought a brand new AC Delco one today and it would only seat in the right hole. Another reason i dont like that Summit one. After i put the acdelco one in car started up just fine runs great and everything. What ever i am happy now the car runs again, I will never make that mastake again.
