pro magnum... those are ROCKERS? right? I thought the comp lifters were type R lifters. Oem lifters are good stuff, and aslong as the valve springs are not dual springs, or REALLY stiff, and the cam isn't over board, they should cut it.

EDIT: added the ARE NOT, instead of ARE

I would not use the 875s We took them out of evey engine we were running them in. We have no had any failures but to many people have for us to use them.

Stock will be fine for most. if you need more go to the Morel's or the Crane's

I would guess these are the lifter prior to their change in design which is a problem.

We have seen a few of the newer sets fail in our area. Enough for us to shy away.

Crane makes a good quality anti-pump roller lifter made for High RPM. They cost about the same as the Morrel's and benifits can be found on there site.

I know if I type one wrong letter about them I will get hammered so check there site

IIRC, the snap clip that holds the piston inside the body fails, and lets the insides shoot all over the lifter valley. which I imagine... is NOT pretty. but that was what I heard about type r's. I donno how much design change they have. and I have heard, "good f*cking luck" getting comp to back the warrenty up when that happens. because "you odviouslys lashed the valves wrong for it to fail". but this is all stuff I have heard.
