I 2nd that.

I got a Baseline tune from alvin, and were going to run some passes and dyno time on that tune, then pull timing/fuel to make everything work.

Yeah I'd have to say Vic E or Supervic coverted (even the Victor E has to be converted to LT1/4 bolt holes).....

Even though I'm looking now at a Hogan's sheetmetal intake on my setup with nitrous burst panels and fogger nozzles installed.....

I really want a hogans sheetmetal single plane (looks like a sheetmetal supervic).... so many options and too little time/money...

The biggest part of ANY single plane conversion is the Bolt pattern.

Harold at Port pros told me about 9hrs to machine the holes correctly.

9 hours! Dam i'm glad he doesn't know how I do it and make it come out nice!

The bolt pattern is a little trouble to do, right now I don't think it's the biggest issue but it certainly is one of them. I figure I spend more time doing the porting more than anything else.

I dont know about the 9 hours thing but I know when he is done with it the thing looks like a cast intake. You can not even tell it had work done to it besides the porting and polishing.

Yea, it does look like it was cast ready for an LT1. It was also pretty easy to match up to my heads, the roof and floor of the intake runners were ported very well.

There is no way you are talking about the same thing.

$700 is a little much for a price change.

Not sure if anybody has tried one on an LT1 but the Holley Strip Dominator is also an excellent manifold....normally about 10 hp better than the Edelbrock 2925 unported vs. unported on the carbed sbc's that i have seen. But when ported the 2925 does excellent as well.

I haven't seen the Strip Dom to be better, in fact it's very hard to beat a Super Vic once they are ported correctly.

I did just finish up on the engine dyno and made 600ish on a Daily Driver 396 LT1 motor with a Super Vic, but I'll have to post about that more when I have time.
