396 CI build single plain intake????
Mild? You mean idle at 700rpm with little lope, pull fine at 1500rpm on the dyno and peak HP @ 6500? You mean that kind of mild? Yeah it's like that.
The heads were some TFS castings that I sent to Larry Meaux to do his magic on, ported Super Vic intake, mild custom cam from me and a well built 396 that I spent too much time assembling as normal. (that's why I don't build short blocks unless it's something special.) Turned out well. Now the motor just has to get into the car and have some chassis dyno time on here, but that's going to be a bit.

I agree with you that the 2925 Super Vic is better when ported, i just meant that ive seen an unported Strip Dominator make almost 10 more hp vs. an unported 2925 Super Vic on a 377 ci IMCA motor, but that was only one time so it may have been a fluke deal. Im sure it would be a different comparison on an LT1 so i was wondering if anyone had tried one or not.
